Vietnam become the Champion of International Futsal Tournament 2010, Hanoi, Vietnam

With three consecutive winning matches and 9 points, Vietnam Futsal National team is deserving with the Champion of the International Futsal Tournament 2010 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The International Futsal Tournament 2010 is organized by Vietnam Football Federation with a view to create opportunity for Vietnam National Futsal team get more international exposure and improve technical skill in preparaion for future targets. The Tournament is taken place from 12^th November to 14^th November 2010 with the parcitipation of 4 teams: Qatar National Futsal Team, Thailand All Stars team, Chinese Taipei National Futsal Team and the hosting team.

At the first match, Vietnam National Futsal team beat Thailand All Star with the final score 3 – 2, left Chinese Taipei team behind at the second match with the final score 2 – 0 and continue to show the third consecutive win 3 – 1 at the final match against Qatar, to convincingly become the Champion of the Tournament.

Although this is only a friendly Tournament, however, all three wins of Vietnam National Futsal team has strongly showed considerable progress of the players, through which they can improve their image and build up a firmed belief toward supporters before striving for new targets.

When giving comment on the Tournament, Mr Sergio Gargelli – Head Coach of Vietnam National Futsal team said “ With the participation of good quality teams like Thailand All Stars, Qatar and Chinese Taipei Futsal National teams, Vietnam Futsal National team has chance to accumulate much more experience. This is surely the big advantage when our players play against strong teams. The only thing which I always expect is that at any Tournament, Vietnam Players should show their confidence and clearly identify their great determination to win. I satisfy with the Champion title and the performance of Vietnam players at this Tournament”.

-          Runner – up: Qatar

-          3^rd placing team: Thailand All Stars

-          Best player: Amro Abderal (Qatar)

-          Best Goalkeeper: Dang Phuoc Anh (Jersey number 20 – Vietnam)

-          Best Scorer: Rodrigo Rocha (Jersey number 5 – Qatar, 5 goals)
